Animal Crossing Danglies

Sam and Jessica came home rather excited the other day; they had found these Animal Crossing Toys in a machine in Sainsburys. I was OK with Mable/Sable (I forget which one I was given), but I really wanted the little dude. I went in and on my first “go” I got just what I wanted! Now I have to fight the urge to collect all eight. Remember; “We do not stop being children because we grow old, we grow old because we stop being children”. I hope to never put away my childish things…

Trusty Timberlands

Trusty Timberlands

My trusty Timberlands have finally died. I’ve had these shoes for at least ten years, and worn them almost daily. I feel like I have lost a dear old friend. Sam asked me if I was going to throw them out today (I bought some new shoes). I replied “I’m not quite ready to say goodbye yet…”

I was rather excited to see the news from Konami this morning that they have dropped two games planned for the Wii. Not for this news in itself, but rather for a teaser of an upcoming football title for the Wii. According to Play Wii, there is a “Soccer Game” planned for the Wii. Quite what this is, I’m not sure but I am excited none the less. I don’t think it will be PES, because firstly they mention PES, or “World Soccer Winning Eleven Series” for the PS3, but the Wii title is mentioned as an anonymous “Sports Game — Soccer”. A colleague at work is hoping for a “strap-the-wii-mote-to-your-leg” style football game, but I’m not too sure about that myself being a couch potato. Given Konami’s glorious history of representing the beautiful game though, I am looking forward to seeing what they have to offer. In the mean time, PES6 on the DS will be eating my time next…

Wii Soccer

January 5, 2007

The Wii has been so much fun since I got it, I’ve not missed having a football game. However, when I saw ISS 3 for the Game Cube for £8, it was impossible to resist. I also managed to get a second hand wireless Nintendo Wavebird controller for £4.99 which was a great bargain. ISS 3 isn’t great compared to PES 5, but it will do until there is a realistic football game for the Wii, if indeed there ever will be. I know Mario Soccer is on the horizon, but that’s hardly what we are looking for here in Europe!

Bitten by Electricity?

Ouch. I have been. £261.34 for three months? That’s waaaay too much to be running my own web server. From now on, all CS has been suspended with immediate effect! Good job I am getting a Wii, from now on that’s where I will be getting my gaming fix. Lets hope that the wii-mote and nunchuck is all its cracked up to be.
